For those new to our dental practice, it may seem unusual to be scheduled for a 60 minute comprehensive dental exam with the doctor and dental hygienist. Many new patients often tell us that they have never experienced a more thorough and complete oral health examination. The doctor will perform an oral cancer exam, screening for precancerous changes every time you visit. In addition, the doctor and hygienist will assess your overall general health as it can affect or be affected by your oral health. The “cleaning” may be accomplished at a subsequent visit.
